Identity Of The Zodiac Killer

Gary F Poste Is Identified As The Zodiac Killer By A Cold Case Team

It has been informed by the cold-case task force, that they have finally identified the cold-blooded Zodiac Killer. He had havocked Northern California in the late 1960s, taunting authorities with cryptic notes.

The Zodiac Killer sent handwritten letters to Local Newspapers in San Francisco Bay Area in the 1960s-70s. Apparently, in one letter that Zodiac Killer himself claimed to have murdered 37 victims. Not just this, he has been related to several other cold cases. However, only five Bay Area murderers and two attempted murders have been officially attributed to them.

The task force held responsible the Zodiac Killer, for slaying a lot of people, to which he was never attributed before? Notoriously cold.

The unmerciful Zodiac Killer has been associated with five murders that occurred in 1968 and 1969 in San Francisco. Most serial killers are rather silent. However, the Zodiac Killer was rather belligerent, He sent taunting ciphered letters to newspapers and law enforcement.

The cold case investigators proclaimed that a former US airman and house painter Gary F Poste is responsible for the killings and died in 2018.

Evidence That Point Out Mr Gary F Poste Was The Zodiac Killer:

– A paint-splattered watch bought at a military base was found by police after Ms. Bates’s murder
– A heelprint of the same style and shoe size found at three other Zodiac crime scenes
– Forehead scars similar to the San Francisco Police Department’s sketch of the Zodiac Killer
– Links between his name and coded messages sent to police by someone claiming to be the killer

In one note, the letters of Poste’s full name were removed to reveal an alternate message, a Case Breakers investigator told Fox News.

“So you’ve got to know Gary’s full name in order to decipher these anagrams,” former Army counterintelligence agent Jen Bucholtz said. “I just don’t think there’s any other way anybody would have figured it out.”

The investigation team also believes Poste to be the murderer of Cheri Jo Bates on Halloween in 1966, about 400 miles away from San Francisco and two years before the first slay linked with the Zodiac Killer.

In 2020, finally, the code breakers cracked the 340-character cipher that was sent to San Francisco, by the Zodiac, himself. At the time, the FBI said the Zodiac case remained ongoing.

“I hope you are having lots of fun in trying to catch me. … I am not afraid of the gas chamber because it will send me to paradise all the sooner because I now have enough slaves to work for me,” the decrypted message read.

Despite the pieces of evidence presented by Case Breakers, federal and police investigators are yet to solve the 52-year-old mystery, since the latest theory doesn’t hold up.

Conclusion:

The San Francisco office of the FBI made a statement to the San Francisco Chronicle that the case remained open and they had “no new information to share at the moment” about the Zodiac Killer.
