British special forces recovered a “non-human” ship shot down in northern England in the late 1980s, a former UK paratrooper and military intelligence officer claims.
Franc Milburn, a veteran of the British Army’s elite Parachute Regiment, said he had spoken to a member of the MI6-run unit that carried out the alleged operation.
Milburn said he also spoke to the British Royal Air Force (RAF) crew who chased and fired at a pair of “disk-shaped UFOs” traveling at hypersonic speeds higher than those of their fighter jets. However, he refused to reveal the identity of his former elite comrade, citing security reasons and his desire to remain anonymous – henceforth he will be referred to by the alias “John”.
In an exclusive interview with the DailyMail newspaper, the veteran revealed surprising details of the story told by his former Special Forces friend after they both left the Army, saying he wanted to back up recent claims by American whistleblowers about a secret program of UFO crash recovery.
According to his story, in the 1980s, John worked for a secret unit now known as Squad E, which specialized in covert, clandestine and paramilitary operations.
Squadron E—previously known as The Increment — recruited the most experienced and trusted operators of the UK’s Special Forces units: the Special Air Service (SAS), the Special Boat Service (SBS) and the Regiment of Special Recognition (SRR).
The American equivalent to this squadron is the CIA’s Special Operations Group and Joint Special Operations Command, made up of “Tier 1” units that include Delta Force and SEAL Team 6.
Milburn detailed that John served in the 1982 Falklands War and numerous high-risk missions around the world, but one of the most disturbing was in his home country in the late 1980s.
“He told me they were deployed in a troop-sized unit, maybe 20-30 Special Forces operators,” he said. “The RAF had informed them that a ship that was not Russian, British or American had been shot down. He said they were tasked with securing and recovering the ship in the north of England. They were transported by helicopter. “They established a cordon, a perimeter, and approached the ship.”
“He did not describe the ship, he simply said that it was evident that it was not human, and it was evident that there were occupants who had fled the scene on foot, which led to a task of tracking down these beings to try to take them into custody,” he continued.
Part of the unit was left protecting the ship. They should have left maybe six or eight guys to cordon off the ship, and the others would be on foot, quads, or 4×4 vehicles trying to track down these escaped entities, with helicopter support. After that everything was completely out of our hands.
According to Milburn, John told him that scientists and technicians showed up in the area, and that his team was taken by helicopter to never hear anything more about the crashed ship. And although he refused to give her any further details and provided no evidence for his incredible story, the former paratrooper said he trusted the word of his former elite comrade, having assessed him with other SAS veterans.
I believe him 100 percent. I worked with the guy in civilian life (after military service). This is a real skydiver. I spoke to his former SAS colleagues and paratroopers. We’re talking about a guy who fought bravely in the Falklands in some of the most brutal confrontations. “This is not the kind of person who jokes or talks nonsense,” he commented.
Milburn worked in British military intelligence until the late 1990s, then as a contractor in Iraq alongside the US Army Special Forces and the US State Department’s Office of Diplomatic Security.
He is now an analyst for the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, a university think tank with close ties to Israeli military intelligence, where he has written public research papers on the US government’s approach to UFOs.
