The American physician, Dr. Stuart Hamerroff and the British physicist Sir Roger Penrose have developed a quantum theory of consciousness, which states that our souls are contained within structures called microtubules within our brain cells.( soul exists and it never dies)
The idea was developed because of the concept that the brain is a biological computer , with 100 billion neurons, whose synaptic connections act as information networks.( soul exists and it never dies)
Dr. Hameroff, a professor emeritus in the Department of Anesthesiology and Psychology and Director of the Center for Consciousness Studies at the University of Arizona , and Sir Roger , have been working on the theory since 1996.
They argue that our consciousness experiences are the result of the effects of quantum gravity on microtubules, a process they call objective orchestrated reduction (Orch-OR).
In a near-death experience , microtubules lose their quantum state, but the information inside them is not destroyed. Or in understandable terms, the soul does not die, but returns to the universe.
Dr. Hameroff explained the theory extensively in a documentary narrated by Morgan Freeman , called “Through the Wormhole,” which was recently issued by the Science Channel in the United States. “Let’s say the heart stops beating, the blood stops flowing, the microtubules lose their quantum state. The quantum information in the microtubules is not destroyed, it can not be destroyed, it is simply distributed and dissipated by the universe, “said Dr. Hameroff.
“If the patient is resuscitated, this quantum information can be returned to the microtubules and the patient says ‘I had a near-death experience,'” Dr. continued. Hameroff( soul exists and it never dies)
If the patient dies, “it would be possible for this quantum information to exist outside the body indefinitely, like a soul”
Dr. Hameroff believes that new ideas about the role of quantum physics in biological processes such as bird navigation help confirm the theory.

very nice
So we don’t reunite with our loved ones? That is sad. Can we come back as an animal? Can you imagine coming back,as a roach or a mouse? Hmmm. Is mind boggling.
What intrigues me is the idea that our memories of our life and who we are/were can be preserved after the brain is dead. If you look at Alzheimer’s patients or severely brain-damaged people, it appears that all memories of who they were have been erased. So how could these memories survive brain death? Perhaps the “soul” is just the essence of universal energy, expressed into a life form. The energy that propels electrons around the nucleus of an atom, or that propels our galaxy through space always exists, constant, changing, but always in existence in one form or another. And perhaps our memories of our life’s experiences can be transmitted genetically to our descendants.
