Members of a remote tribe have believed they live in the shadow of a secret US Military station for more than 60 years. UFOs are supposed to be a common sight near the mountain that is said to house the legendary “Dulce Base” outside of Dulce, New Mexico.
People in the area have reported hearing unusual noises and seeing strange lights coming from the Archuleta Mesa Mountain for decades, with some even claiming they were abducted and brought to a secret alien lair deep within.
The Jicarilla Apache Nation headquarters, a small community of 3,000 people, has supposedly seen egg-shaped crafts and had their cattle mysteriously damaged.
“Everybody in Dulce knows pretty much about it, and we all realize it is there. There is a growing interest in this and it’s worldwide, not just here.”
Ex- reservation police detective Avery Tafoya told The Sun
The Dulce Base UFO conference, which takes place from June 17 to 19, will shed light on the mystery site next year. According to rumours, the US military has a massive multi-storey installation near Archuleta Mesa mountain that is involved with UFOs and aliens. According to the most far-fetched ideas, the site is actually the world’s first joint institution run by humans and aliens.
Whatever you think of the extraordinarily distant 9,224-foot summit, Dulce residents are witnessing something unusual just outside their town. After a US Government security officer allegedly tried to blow the whistle to local authorities in the mid-1970s, mysterious claims regarding alien activities began to circulate. Federal investigators are claimed to have drafted a report, and Mr Tafoya believes he saw a copy of it in the tribal police filling system.
He stated he stumbled upon it by mistake during a night shift, and when leafing through it, he discovered sketches. They were believed to describe a seven-level deep laboratory managed by humans and aliens, where twisted genetic experiments aiming at creating hybrid organisms were carried out. Mr. Tafoya had no idea what he was looking at the moment and questioned if it has been misfiled.
However, he admitted that the idea of a vast base within the mountain was not new to him. He had heard rumors as a child that there was a base within the mountain, as well as that it was built beneath the Earth’s crust.
I have heard stories about people hearing machinery but there was no machinery up on the surface, anywhere. My theory was that it was obviously coming from underground. I had an elderly lady tell me they were actually sitting outside and they could hear this and the ground was actually shaking.”
According to records obtained through a freedom of information request, US military engineers did have the potential of discreetly worming their way underground at the time. Mr Tafoya is now on a mission to discover a way into the alleged underground base, and he’s planning a trip up the almost 10,000-foot Archuleta Mesa.
Only a member of the tribe, such as himself, has permission to summit the mountain’s jagged and rugged terrain because it is sacred ground. The rest of the mountain is extremely treacherous on foot and finding an entrance is difficult. Yet Mr Tafoya is determined on his mission to find the opening.
“It is about being systematic and looking around.”
Mr. Tafoya
He recently appeared in a Discovery Channel documentary titled UFO Witness. He attempted to summit the mountain with former FBI agent Ben Hansen but was thwarted by snow on the track. However, the pair was able to position a heat camera toward the mountain’s edge and were astounded by what they witnessed.
“We could see a heat plume coming out of the rock. So that’s one area and I would want to get to put heat cameras to see if we pick up anything that could come from a vent.”
Local residents claim that a portion of the mountain around here opened up and crafts developed. In the video, Geri Julian, a Jicarilla elder, related a horrifying encounter she claims occurred in 1986 on the Archuleta Mesa mountain.
“She recalled driving with her husband when they both saw an extremely bright light with a dome on top. My husband looked at me and said right away ‘get in the truck’ I got in the truck.”

But she said the truck’s engine then failed and “two small people started climbing down a ladder”. Just then, she said, the vehicle started up and the two beings went back in and the craft headed towards a hole in the mountain. Later that night she woke up in her room and “two small people” were at the end of her bed, trying to pull her off the bed.
She said: “I couldn’t scream. I was holding on to the mattress and they were trying to pull me off. And then my husband moved and then they let me go.”
Six years prior, on May 4, 1980, a genuine abduction report was filed.
Cattle Mutilation
Merna Hansen reported that while driving home with her six-year-old son, she encountered UFOs, one of which she claimed was lifting a cow with a beam of light. Before she knew it, the crafts had vanished. However, the car had come to a halt and the engine had ceased to function – and six hours had elapsed.
She apparently recounted being abducted under hypnosis with experienced UFO investigator Leo Sprinkle after being terrified by what she said happened. During the regression session, one of the UFOs focused on their automobile and informed them that both she and her kid were taken aboard one of the craft. She referred to her kidnappers as “grey” aliens.
Both subjects were stripped naked and subjected to a variety of exams and procedures. They then observed the earlier captured cow being chopped up. She allegedly claimed to have seen big vats and lit containers containing “hanging human body parts.”
It all sounds like a nightmare than reality, yet police were apparently examining the mutilated cows just before the alleged occurrence. New Mexico State Trooper Gabriel Valdez claimed to have discovered a series of frightening livestock mutilations in the late 1970s. The officer claimed he discovered a hybrid that “looked like a human, a monkey and a frog” inside one dead cow. Self-styled whistleblower Philp Schneider made an even more outrageous allegation, claiming to be working on the development of a vast underground Cold Water base near Dulce.
He stated that he and his engineering team had broken into an ancient subterranean system where “Grey” extraterrestrials had established a base. Schneider reportedly claimed he was confronted by seven-foot-tall animals that reeked of burning garbage, prompting him to pull his sidearm, which he was carrying at the time.
He claimed to have killed two people after opening fire before being hit with “some kind of plasma weapon.” He made it out alive, although he claims he lost many fingers. Meanwhile, the military dispatched special troops, and a struggle occurred, ending in a truce and the establishment of a joint human-alien facility.
Earthlings were allegedly handed alien technology in exchange for extraterrestrials being allowed to conduct tests. Despite his claims, no definitive verification of his allegations has ever been provided. In 1996, he died in a “suicide” that was officially labelled as such.
