A UFO case near the International Space Station
Leroy Chiao is an astronaut known for being a pioneering astronaut in his field. And he has decided to talk about a meeting in space that he could not explain.
In 2005 Chiao was commander of the International Space Station. He was on the space station from October 2004 to April 2005, and witnessed something he did not expect.
While he and Russian cosmonaut Salizhan Sharipov were performing maintenance on the outside of the ISS, something unusual caught Chiao’s attention.
The two astronauts were assembling some navigation antennas 370 kilometers above Earth and traveling at more than 17,000 kilometers per hour when a mysterious object came out from under them, traveling even faster than the ISS.
Chiao says he saw lights that he believed were in a line. When the lights turned on him, Chiao thought it really was “very strange.” Sharipov was unable to observe the mysterious lights because he was looking away.
“I saw lights that seemed to be in some sort of formation and it was almost like a checkmark upside down, and I saw them flying, I thought it was very strange,” Chiao told The Huffington Post.
But Chiao did not want to be carried away by emotion, since he is quite skeptical about everything related to the ufological issue. The first thing he thought was that it was an optical effect caused by the lights of a fishing boat several hundred kilometers below his position.
“I acknowledge that I am skeptical,” Chiao said of the theory that Earth is being visited by intelligent extraterrestrial beings. But he also recognizes that although what happened can be explained rationally does not mean that he has the absolute truth about what happened.
Chiao does not consider himself a closed-minded scientist and does not dismiss the idea of the existence of intelligent life on other planets.
“I don’t rule it out 100 percent. I have an open mind and I believe that there are other forms of life in the universe ”, Chiao explains in the documentary.
“If there is life out there much more advanced than us and they know well how to travel long distances in short periods of time, or that they are capable of coming from a universe parallel to ours, why don’t they come and show themselves to all of us?”
Scientists’ opinion on the matter
Many scientists claim that if the universe is tens of billions of light-years in diameter and contains more than 300 billion million stars, it is highly unlikely that man is the only inhabitant.
According to the most optimistic estimates, there could be hundreds of thousands of extraterrestrial civilizations in the universe, hundreds of them in our galaxy.
So the probability that there is an advanced and intelligent civilization in our galaxy is very high, and so much so that there are more and more sightings of mysterious objects on Earth and in outer space.
Chiao’s public statements are just a sample of everything that astronauts see and keep silent since the truth would quite possibly scandalize all of humanity.
